Im Unterschönbuch westlich von Burgkirchen a. d. Alz liegen auf einer bewaldeten würmeiszeitlichen lehmigen Schotterterrasse teilweise gut ausgeprägte 'Celtic Fields', durchschnitten von einer Trasse parallel zu einer Hochspannungsleitung. Im Nordosten an der Terrassenkante zur Alz zwei Grabhügelgruppen der Hallstattzeit. Verstreute Grabhügel der Hallstatt- und Frühlatènezeit auch im Südwesten (in der Grafik schlecht erkennbar), teilweise durch die Trasse beeeinträchtigt. Da 'Celtic Fields' soweit im Osten Bayerns sonst nicht vorkommen, sollte in Betracht gezogen werden, ob die Spuren eher der römischen Villa rustica zuzuordnen sind, deren Lage durch die markante rechteckige Erhöhung in der Mitte des unteren Grafikrandes erkennbar ist. In Unterschönbuch to the west of Burgkirchen a. d. Alz, on a wooded Würm Ice Age loamy gravel terrace, there are some well-pronounced ‘Celtic Fields’, cut through by a route parallel to a high-voltage power line. In the north-east, on the edge of the terrace towards the Alz, two groups of Hallstatt burial mounds. Scattered burial mounds from the Hallstatt and Early La Tène periods also in the south-west (poorly recognisable in the graphic), partially impaired by the power line. Since Celtic fields are not otherwise found this far east in Bavaria, it should be considered whether the traces are more likely to be attributed to the Roman villa rustica, whose location can be recognised by the distinctive rectangular elevation in the middle of the lower edge of the graphic.
