Am auffälligsten im Hagenauer Forst östlich von Schrobenhausen sind die Strukturen einer heutigen Waffenfabrik und des zugehörigen Versuchsgeländes. Abgesehen davon, besteht der Untergrund des Waldes aus Sanden, Kiesen und Sandlehm, teils von Flugsanden in Dünenform überdeckt. Vor allem nördlich und südöstlich des Fabrikgeländes finden sich mehr oder weniger nordsüdlich verlaufende, geradlinige Strukuren in vergleichsweise schwacher Ausprägung, die ich für Fragmente einer römischen Flur halte. Im Süden, östlich der Bildmitte, eine hallstattzeitliche Grabhügelgruppe, außerdem wenige weitere Grabhügel. Most striking in the Hagenauer Forst east of Schrobenhausen are the structures of a present-day weapon factory and the associated testing ground. Apart from this, the subsoil of the forest consists of sands, gravels and sandy loam, partly covered by drifting sands in the form of dunes. Above all to the north and south-east of the factory site, there are more or less north-south running, rectilinear structures in comparatively weak form, which I consider to be fragments of Roman fields.
