Spuren römischer Beackerung in West- und Mitteleuropa Traces of Roman farming in Western and Central Europe: Forêt de Crécy-SE,Somme Zurück Back
Südöstlicher Teil des Forêt de Crécy nahe der Mündung der Somme in den Altlantik. Siehe auch: Forêt de Crécy-NW und Gutshöfe inmitten ihres Wirtschaftslandes. Im Nordosten werden die Feldgrößen nahe dem Waldrand deutlich kleiner. In der Südhälfte der Grafik ist zu beobachten, dass sich die größeren Mergelgruben entlang der Talzüge auf halber Hanghöhe aufreihen. Nördlich des Maßstabes und randlich geschnitten durch einen modernen Waldweg unweit der Einmündung eines zweiten Waldweges liegt eine besonders große Gebäudegruppe, die ca. 250 x 150 m überdeckt. Von dieser vermutlichen Villa rustica strahlen nach Osten Sektorenparzellen aus. Southeastern part of the Forêt de Crécy near the mouth of the Somme River where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. See also: Forêt de Crécy-NW and Manor houses surrounded by their farmland. In the northeast, the field sizes near the forest edge are significantly smaller. In the southern half of the graphic, it can be seen that the larger marl pits are lined up along the valleys halfway up the slopes. North of the scale and bordered by a modern forest path not far from the junction with a second forest path lies a particularly large group of buildings covering an area of approximately 250 x 150 m. Sector parcels radiate eastwards from this presumed Villa Rustica.
